Attachment: A Simile

In the old cowboy movies (and in some new ones) and down Texas way they have this fun thing where they tie someone up and drag them behind a horse or the stagecoach or an old truck, them bouncing around like popcorn in a hot iron cauldron. Then of course the victim/hero gets up, dusts himself off and polishes off the bad guys.
In reality what happens is pretty grim.
Stop for a minute long enough to see if you can put the picture into focus in your mind.
