Beggars! There are these three downbindings for Kamma. What three?
Wanting, Anger and Blindness.
A deed done with Wanting, born from Wanting, originating in Wanting, grown out of Wanting bears fruit wherever that individual finds rebirth. Wherever that act comes to fruition, it is there that that individual experiences its fruit, whether in this life or in some other [pariyaye[2]] . And it is the same for an act of Anger or Blindness.
In the same way as when seeds that are whole, unspoiled, not dried out by wind and heat, viable, are well planted in a fertile field that has been properly prepared - if the rain comes down from the gods above, those seeds germinate, sprout up, and come to grow in abundance.
In the same way deeds done in Wanting, Anger and Blindness come to fruition wherever that individual finds rebirth, whether in this life or in some other.

Freed from Wanting, Freed from Anger and Freed from Blindness.
A deed done free from Wanting, not born from Wanting, not originating in Wanting, not grown out of Wanting - since that Wanting has been Let Go, that deed has been Let Go, dug up by the Root [Mula], cut down, like a palm tree stump made unable to grow again, made unable to re-grow again in the future. And it is the same for an act free of Anger or Blindness.
In the same way as when seeds that are whole, unspoiled, not dried out by wind and heat, viable, are well planted in a fertile field that has been properly prepared - if a man comes along and Burns that Field and reduces those seeds to ashes, having reduced those seeds to ashes he winnows the ashes in the Wind or tosses them into a swift flowing stream - those seeds, Beggars, would have been dug up by the Root, cut down, like a palm tree stump make unable to grow again, made unable to re-grow again in the future.
In the same way, a deed done free from Wanting, not born from Wanting, not originating in Wanting, not grown out of Wanting - since that Wanting has been Let Go, that deed has been Let Go, dug up by the Root, cut down, like a palm tree stump made unable to grow again, made unable to re-grow again in the future. And it is the same for an act free of Anger or Blindness.
From lust or malice or delusion born
A deed, or great or small, performed by fools
Just here is felt: no other ground is seen
For its fulfilment. Wise monks should eschew
Lust, malice and delusion for this cause,
Get knowledge and forsake all ways of woe.
Woodward footnotes that the line "Just here is felt: no other ground is seen" is to be understood to mean not that the deed finds fruition only in this life, but that "The deed done by one does not ripen in the personal existence of another."]
