How to download this Website
as a Windows HTML Help File

The Nanavira Thera Dhamma Page is now available for downloading in the form of a Windows HTML Help file. It is not the standard, long-familiar flavour of Help files in Windows. This format incorporates the full functionality of HTML, has a navigation pane on the left side of window that enables you to navigate the entire site easily, and also provides you with a full text search facility.

The file is named ntdp-chm.zip (approximately 1.9 MB in size) and can be downloaded by clicking here. You need the Microsoft HTML Help Viewer to view the file. If you have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 (or later) installed on your computer the viewer is already on your system.

Unzip ntdp-chm.zip and then store the file NTDP.chm anywhere you like on your computer and double-click to run it. You might like to make a shortcut to the file (NTDP.chm), and run it from the shortcut.

Notes:

If you are using IE 3.02, you need to download and install the HTML Help Viewer Installation and Update package (Hhupd.exe) from Microsoft's website in order to be able to use the NTDP HTML Help file.

This package consists of a self-extracting executable program that will set up the Help Viewer on your computer or update an existing setup of the Help Viewer. (If you have IE 4.0, you already have version 1.0 of the Help Viewer.)

You can download the HTML Help Viewer Installation and Update package (Hhupd.exe) directly at the Microsoft site from this page. The Help Viewer requires that Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 3.02 or later) be set up on a your computer. It is not required that Internet Explorer be used as the system's default browser, or that the Internet Explorer icon be visible on the desktop.
