Mentioned in the Anguttara Commentary (i.74), among the Játakas revealed by the Buddha at Sankassa in answer to the questions asked by Sáriputta.
No story of this name is found in the Játaka Commentary, but the verse quoted in the Anguttara Commentary is found in the Jhánasodhana Játaka (J.i.473f), for which evidently this was another name.
An Anangana Vatthu is mentioned in the Samantapásadiká (i.158), but the reference is not clear, and probably refers to Anangana Sutta (infra).
