A monastery to the north of Mahágáma in South Ceylon, built by King Vasabha, who also bestowed on it one thousand karísa of land in the village of Heligáma (Mhv.xxxv.83; MT.652).
In Voháratissa's time the Thera Mahátissa lived there (Mhv.xxxvi.30). King Vasabha also built an uposatha hall for the vihára (Mhv.xxxvi.37).
