1. Bilálidáyaka Thera. An arahant. In the time of Padumuttara Buddha he was an ascetic in the Himálaya and offered the Buddha some biláli tubers. Fifty four kappas ago he was a king called Sumekhali (Ap.i.145) (v.l. Sumelaya). He is probably identical with Kosalavihárí Thera. ThagA.i.134f.


2. Bilálidáyaka Thera. An arahant. Fifty four kappas ago he gave some biláli tubers to a recluse at the foot of the mountain Romasa. Ap.i.232.
