Contains the story of Mittavindaka.
The Játaka probably derives its name from the fact that the Ussada-niraya, where Mittavindaka was destined to suffer, looked like a city with four gates, surrounded by a wall.
For the introductory story see the Gijjha Játaka.
The story is sometimes called the Mahá Mitta-vindaka Játaka. E.g., J.i.363; iii.206.
