Son of a wealthy brahmin of Rájagaha. He heard the Buddha preach at Veluvana and, having entered the Order, practised meditation in a wooded spot, ultimately achieving arahantship.
In the time of Vipassí Buddha he offered him flowers in homage (Thag.22; ThagA.i.77).
He is probably identical with Tínikinkinipupphiya Thera of the Apadána. Ap.ii.433.
