Daughter of Mahákamsa, king of Asitañjana. It was predicted that her son would destroy the lineage of Kamsa; she was therefore imprisoned in a room built on a single pillar. With the help of her serving woman, Nandagopá, she entered into an intrigue with Upaságara, whom she afterwards married.
They had ten sons - the notorious Andhakavenhudásaputtá - and one daughter, Añjaná (J.iv.79ff; PvA.99ff).
