A tank in Rohana, near Mahágáma. Meghavannábhaya, minister of Mahásena, leading a revolt against the king, once encamped on its bank (Mhv.xxxvii.18). Saddhátissa built a vihára near by (Mhv.xxxiii.9). Mahánága gave to the ascetics one thousand fields watered by the tank (Cv.xli.99; see Cv.Trs.i.62, n.1), and Parakkamabáhu I, repaired the tank (Cv.lxxix.32). Geiger thinks (Mhv. Trs.248, n.5) that Dúratissa-vápi is probably identical with Dúravápi.
