A forest in Madhurá.

Mahá Kaccána stayed there and was visited by Avantiputta, king of Madhurá, to whom he preached the Madhurá Sutta (M.ii.83f), and by the brahmin Kandaráyana (A.i.67f).

The full name of the forest seems to have been Kanhagundávana (MA.ii.738; J.R.A.S., 1894, 349). v.l. Kundavana.
