A Paribbájaka.
The Samyutta Nikáya records visits paid by him to Sáriputta at Nálakagáma and discussions between them on various topics, such as nibbána, arahantship, the ásavas, sakkáya, ignorance, the Noble Eightfold Path, etc. (S.iv.251-60)
The Commentary (SA.iii.91) says that he was a nephew of Sáriputta and a channa-paribbájaka.
