The sixteenth section of the Samyutta Nikáya (S.ii.192-225). It contains various suttas connected with Mahá-Kassapa (q.v. for details). Mahá-Kassapa's verses in the Theragáthá reflect the sentiments contained in these suttas. The discussion on the lokiya-aspect of the sammappadháná, as given in the Kassapa Samyutta, is referred to in the commentaries. E.g., VibhA.291.
