also known as Nissanka Malla, king of Ceylon (1187-1196 A.C.). He was uparája of Vijayabáhu II., and became king after the murder of Mahinda VI. Among his acts of piety were the building of a stone temple for the Tooth Relic at Pulatthipura and the embellishment of the famous rock-temple at Jambukola-vihára. His son was Virabáhu.
