Father in law and commander in-chief of Gajabáhuka Gámani.
After Gajabáhu's death he became king of Ceylon and reigned for six years (196-202 A.C.).
He built seven viháras: Sejalaka, Gotapabbata, Dakapásána, Sálipabbata, Tanaveli, Tobbalanágápabbata and Girihálika.
