A class of ascetics and recluses who, perhaps, worshipped Manibhadda (q.v.). MNid.89.
In the Mahábhárata, Manibhadda is mentioned among the yaksas in Kuvera's palace (ii.10, 397).
He is the tutelary deity of travellers and caravans (iii.65, 2553).
The Manibhaddá are mentioned in the Milindapañha (p.191) together with tumblers, jugglers, actors, etc.
