2. Matta. A householder in the Viháravápi village near the Tuládhára Mountain; he was the father of Labhiya Vasabha. Mhv.xxiii.90.
3. Matta. A hunter who discovered four marvellous gems near Pelavápikagáma, seven leagues to the north of Anurádhapura. He reported his discovery to Dutthagámaní, and the gems were used for the Mahá Thúpa. Mhv.xxviii.39; MT. 512.
