A building attached to the palace of Parakkamabáhu I., at Pulatthipura.

It was painted and consisted of three storeys (Cv.lxxiii.87f).

The name was also given to one of the suburbs (sákhánagara) of Pulatthipura (Cv.lxxiii.153), in which the king built the Isipatana vihára. Cv.lxxviii.79; but see Cv. Trs.ii.112, n.3.
