A village in Ceylon given by Aggabodhi ]III. to the Mayettikassapávása vihára (Cv.xliv.121). A river flowed through the village, and over the river Devappatirája built a bridge of forty staves (Cv.lxxxvi.41). Later, Parakkamabáhu IV. gave the village to Káyasatti Thera of the Vijayabáhu pariventa. Cv.xc.92; see Cv.Trs.ii.209, n.2.
