A river, which flowed through Rájagaha.
On its bank was a Paribbájakáráma where famous Paribbájakas lived in the Buddha's time (A.i.185; ii.29, 176; S.i.153).
The river lay between Andhakavinda and Rájagaha, and probably rose in Gijjhakúta (see Vin. Texts i.254, n.2).
It is identified with the Pańcána River. Law, E.G.I., p. 38.
