A sacred spot in Anurádhapura, where Kakusandha Buddha preached during his visit to Ceylon (Mhv.xv.84). It was to the south of the Nágamaláka (Mhv.xv.118) and to the north of the Bodhi tree, near the Silásobbhakandaka cetiya (MT. 351).
King Thúlatthana built a thúpa on the spot (MT. 355).
