Daughter of Girikandasiva and wife of Pandukábhaya.
Pandukábhaya saw her on her way to her father's field with food and made her entertain him and his followers.
Her name was Pálí, and she was given her soubriquet because the banyan leaves, on which she served the meal to Pandukábhaya, turned into gold in her hands.
She had five brothers, all of whom were killed by Pandukábhaya's companion, Canda. Mhv.x.30ff.
