2. Verocana. A jewel, given to Kusa by Sakka when the former went out to fight against the seven kings who claimed Pabhávatí's hand. J.v.310, 311.


2. Verocana. A Nága king, who lived in the Ganges. When Nárada Buddha converted the Nága Mahádona, Verocana invited the Buddha to a palace which he had built on the river and entertained him and the monks with great ceremony. Eighty thousand men entered the Order after having heard the Buddha return thanks on this occasion. Bu.x.12; BuA.154f.
