        'Sensuous Desire', Is the first of the five hindrances which
      tend to discourage the person who attempts 'bhavana' or mental
      developmwnt.  The other four being:-

               o   Ill-will (vyapada)

               o   Sloth and Torpor (thina-middha)

               o   Restlessness and Scruples (uddhacca-kukkucca)

               o   Sceptical Doubt ((vicikiccha)
