³Q.  How can One be certain that there was a Teacher known as the Buddha ?. ³

A.   'Saddha' is confidence in the acceptance of the Buddha. However even if
one is not certain that there lived, over 2500 years ago, a Buddha, the
Dhamma he re-discovered and showed the world, exists then and now. If one
studies the Dhamma, then one 'sees the Buddha'.

    Blind belief is not expected out of a student of the Dhamma. The well
knowm 'Kalama Sutta' teaches this aspect of the Dhamma very clearly.
