monastery is run entirely by donations from lay people.
Offerings come from supporters and visitors in several forms.
The community's actual requisites of life consist of food,
clothing, shelter, medicines, as well as financial donations
and skilled help.
The English Sangha Trust
is the steward of Amaravati Buddhist Monastery and functions
as a trustee for all funds given.
The community is guided by the abbot, Luang
Por* Sumedho, a disciple of the highly respected meditation
master from Thailand, Luang
Por Chah.
