The structure of the first of the Daõóaka metres described here is nicely summed up in a såtra in Chøà: Daõóako nau raþ; first there are 2 nagaõas, which are followed by a number of ragaõas, Caõóavùñiprapàta having 7 ragaõas; Arõa 8, and so on - there are many more, V gives a list of 28, ending with Nanda, which has 34 ragaõas following the opening two nagaõas!
70 Called Pracita in Chøà. This metre has a different structure to the previous Daõóakas: first 2 nagaõas, then a series of yagaõas.
