One of the places passed by Bávarí's disciples on their way from Bávarí's hermitage to see the Buddha at Rájagaha. Between Gonaddha and their starting place lay Patitthána, Máhissati and Ujjeni, and the next stopping place after Gonaddha was Vedisá. (Sn.vs.1011).
The Commentary (SnA.ii.583) says that Gonaddha was another name for Godhapura.
